List of Project Management Tools

Before committing to launch my second startup, I spent a good deal of time researching the competitive landscape in work management – work collaboration space.  As represented in other more comprehensive posts on this blog, it didn’t take long to discover the hundreds, if not thousands of options already in place for the would-be tool hunter.

As I had 6 months without gainful employment, I did have the time to click through the websites and offerings of a large portion of the vendors pitching their wares.  The first research category was Project Management tools.  I’ve augmented my original list with some Smartsourcing, but the results are remarkably the same.  Lots more vendors that build software to manage projects the way the book tells them to.  None manage work the way the customer currently works like Smartsheet.
